Who We Are
Tundra Saunas was born out of a simple frustration: outdoor saunas sold in the market weren't built to survive what Minnesota throws at them. Cheap materials, poor insulation, hardware that corrodes after a single winter.
So we built our own. Every Tundra sauna is handcrafted near the Twin Cities using materials selected specifically for cold-climate performance — cedar that breathes, hardware that holds, and insulation that means business.
We're a small operation by design. Every build gets our full attention.
The Build
Craftsmanship
Naturally rot-resistant and aromatic. Cedar regulates humidity and stays cool to the touch — ideal for sauna environments and Minnesota's freeze-thaw cycles.
Built to hold heat when it's well below −30°F outside. Our insulation spec goes beyond what most outdoor saunas include — because Minnesota winters demand it.
Stainless steel and weatherproof hardware throughout. Nothing that will rust, seize, or fail after a few Minnesota winters.
Wired for 240V electric sauna heaters. Simple, controllable, and powerful enough to bring your sauna to temperature in under 45 minutes.
Interior and exterior lighting controlled from a single exterior switch. Functional and atmospheric — exactly how a sauna should feel at dusk.
